NOW FOR THE NEXT RESIDENCY
Marsh House Retreat Center
Whidbey Island, north of Seattle, WA
August 3 to 8, 2010
The 2010 residency will be a unique retreat
that takes each
participant through a process of learning about the way in which story
can come to life
in a living performance to evoke the deepest imaginative, healing,
emotional and spiritual response from a listening audience. This
residency is life changing, practical, and inspiring. A thorough
preparation for the unique and profound reciprocity needed for
storytelling performance. Based on the Laura Simms' process of learning
a story. . . including the practice of meditation and presence of
heart, we plummet the depth of understanding story engagement that
promotes compassion, self empowerment, healing and joy for oneself and
others. Relevant for storytellers, performing artists, naturalists,
educators, those in the healing arts, business and community action.
Learn how and why telling stories makes a difference.
